What is most important to you?

We know there is a need for tools to manage shared housing.  These include bill management, finding housemates, learning how to function well as a house, and more.  As we build the prototype we want to make sure we build the most important features first.  For this reason I am going to be interviewing houses around the Seattle area to get feedback.  If you are interested, let me know.  You could end up with a software program created specifically for you :-)  galen@grouphouseproject.com

  1. Most important?bills and maintenance issues. I didn't know there was a black mold issue till I went into the basement and found out that there was, and when I asked my room mate? 'We thought you knew'. As I repair most everything, THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN GREAT TO KNOW.

But other things: chore listing, possibly changable by week either on a random setting or shifting or choosing.

Food items that are needed household wise as well as the option of individual shopping lists.

Things that need to be done by a certain time: water the plants, take out the garbage tuesday night, not wednesday morning.

General calender so that we know in general when each other has work.

I hope that this is helpful! I really support these kinds of projects! <3

  2. Wow, isn't black mold really bad for your health? Yikes! That is exactly the type of thing we are looking to work on.

Good suggestion of timing the chores as well. I had not originally considered this.

Send me your email if you want to help prototype the product.

    Thanks!
